News anchor Taryn Asher is back in the spotlight after video surfaced showing her launching into a profanity-filled tirade just moments before a Fox 2 Detroit broadcast.
The footage, which was reportedly recorded last year and recently published by TMZ, shows Asher becoming increasingly frustrated during a tense exchange with members of the production team.
At one point, Asher appears to make a mistake while preparing for the segment and says she will have to do it again.
A crew member then tells her, “I think you’re in a script.”
Asher responds that she is working from another script and says part of what she was reading did not make sense, so she was trying to fix it.
The conversation quickly becomes heated.
When the off-camera producer asks Asher to let her finish speaking, Asher fires back and accuses her of walking away angry.
Moments later, Asher turns toward the camera and calls the producer a “b—-.”
The confrontation does not stop there.
Voices can be heard in the background asking what is going on as Asher continues venting.
She eventually snaps, “What the f—, grow up.”

While someone appears to be helping with her wardrobe, Asher says she is “so done” with the producer’s behavior and complains that the woman is constantly “telling on” her.
The clip has drawn fresh attention because Asher was later removed from the air and ultimately fired.
According to reports, she had received a warning over the incident in December 2023 and was taken off the air last November.
In May, she reportedly received a letter notifying her that her employment was being terminated for “unprofessional behavior.”
Asher has since taken legal action against her former employer, reportedly alleging gender discrimination.
She initially filed suit in June and later refiled the case the following month.
Asher has not publicly gone into detail about the viral video.
In a social media post from about six months ago, she addressed her departure from Fox 2 and said she was trying to resolve what she called an unexpected workplace issue.
“Right now, I’m working to thoughtfully resolve a work-related matter that was unexpected,” she wrote.
She also thanked supporters and said she had been spending more time with her daughter and close friends.
For now, the newly resurfaced footage is adding another dramatic chapter to an already messy dispute between the former anchor and the station.
