Doctors Tied to Epstein ‘Under Investigation’

The Jeffrey Epstein scandal is taking another disturbing turn — this time involving doctors who allegedly treated young women connected to the disgraced financier.

The New York State Department of Health has confirmed that authorities are investigating allegations involving medical professionals whose names surfaced in recently reviewed Epstein-related records.

The development comes after a New York Times investigation examined roughly 15,000 documents, including emails, text messages, medical records, lab results and financial documents. The report described an “elite” circle of doctors who allegedly remained available to Epstein for years.

Some of those physicians reportedly practiced in New York, including doctors with possible connections to Mount Sinai.

The state health department has not publicly identified which doctors are currently under investigation.

“We extend our support to all victims and survivors of medical misconduct, physical, or sexual abuse,” a department spokesperson told TMZ, while encouraging anyone who believes they experienced professional misconduct to file a complaint.

The department also said it “condemns any abuse by medical staff and any abuse of a physician’s role that undermines patient trust and safety, including any predatory or unlawful behavior.”

The allegations go far beyond routine medical treatment.

According to the Times, more than a dozen doctors were in contact with Epstein between 2009 and 2019, including specialists such as plastic surgeons and dentists.

Some records reportedly involved treatment for sexually transmitted infections among women associated with Epstein.

In one particularly alarming exchange involving gonorrhea cases in Florida, a doctor allegedly suggested that Epstein send the women to an emergency room instead.

“That way I do not have to report the cases to health department including contacts,” the doctor allegedly wrote.

According to the report, the women later declined to identify the source of their infections when questioned by emergency room personnel, something the physician subsequently communicated to Epstein.

The records also raise troubling questions about patient privacy.

Doctors allegedly shared private medical information about young women directly with Epstein and sometimes asked him which treatments he was willing to pay for.

Epstein himself allegedly gave doctors instructions concerning the women’s medical care and sometimes communicated on their behalf.

The documents reportedly do not make clear whether the women consented to Epstein receiving their medical information or directing their treatment.

Investigators and reporters have also examined Epstein’s financial relationships with medical institutions.

Epstein reportedly donated money to health care facilities, including Mount Sinai, and one email suggested his contributions provided access to “24/7” VIP medical services.

At one point, Epstein was allegedly offered the opportunity to have part of a hospital named in connection with him if he funded a postoperative cancer floor for female patients.

The proposed floor reportedly would have included services such as yoga, hair care and mental health treatment.

The Times also reported allegations that Epstein could use access to medical treatment as another method of exercising control over young women around him — providing treatment when he chose and potentially cutting it off when he wanted.

Epstein died in a Manhattan jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges. His longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell was later convicted of helping recruit and groom underage girls for Epstein and is serving a 20-year federal prison sentence.

Doctors contacted by the Times reportedly denied wrongdoing and said they were unaware of Epstein’s criminal conduct.

For now, New York authorities have not announced any charges or disciplinary action against the physicians under review.

But the investigation adds yet another potentially explosive chapter to the continuing scrutiny of the powerful people and institutions that surrounded Epstein for years.
