Epstein’s Chilling Trump Confession Revealed

Jeffrey Epstein was allegedly deeply afraid of Donald Trump — and one chilling remark attributed to the disgraced financier suggests he believed speaking publicly about the future president could put his life in danger.

Trump biographer and bestselling author Michael Wolff made the explosive claims Tuesday in a post on his Substack, Howl, describing Epstein’s apparent fixation on Trump during the years before his 2019 arrest.

According to Wolff, Epstein took Trump’s presidential ambitions more seriously than almost anyone around him.

“He was afraid of Trump, terrified perhaps,” Wolff wrote, claiming that fear intensified dramatically after Trump won the presidency.

Wolff alleged that Epstein believed he possessed potentially damaging information involving both himself and Trump. The author said he repeatedly encouraged Epstein to make what he knew public.

Epstein allegedly refused.

“I may be a pedophile, but I don’t have a death wish,” Epstein told Wolff, according to the author’s account.

Wolff’s allegations have not independently established that Trump committed any crime in connection with Epstein, and Trump has long denied wrongdoing related to the convicted sex offender.

Trump and Epstein were once part of the same wealthy social circles in New York and Palm Beach, Florida, before their relationship reportedly fell apart around 2004. Trump later said the two had a falling-out and that he had not spoken with Epstein for roughly 15 years by the time Epstein was arrested in 2019.

According to Wolff, one major source of tension was a bitter 2004 battle between the two men over a Palm Beach mansion.

Wolff claimed Epstein later told him the dispute became so heated that Epstein threatened Trump over an alleged money-laundering operation involving a Russian oligarch.

Then came another development that Epstein allegedly found deeply suspicious.

In 2005, Palm Beach police began investigating Epstein after the family of a 14-year-old girl reported that she had been sexually abused at his mansion. The investigation eventually uncovered allegations from numerous underage girls.

Wolff said Epstein believed Trump had somehow helped set that investigation in motion.

That allegation has not been independently proven.

Years later, Wolff included details about Epstein and Trump in his 2019 book Siege. Wolff claimed Epstein subsequently told him discussing the matter had been a “mistake.”

About a month later, Epstein was arrested by federal authorities after returning to the United States from Paris.

Federal prosecutors charged him in July 2019 with sex trafficking of minors. Epstein died in a Manhattan jail cell the following month, with New York City’s medical examiner ruling his death a suicide.

Wolff claims Epstein increasingly believed his intimate knowledge of powerful people had placed him in an extraordinarily dangerous position.

The author described Epstein as viewing himself as “the story behind the story” and argued that Trump’s rise to the White House became one of Epstein’s biggest obsessions.

Wolff went even further, alleging that Epstein believed Trump had participated in his “depraved” world — an accusation that remains Wolff’s characterization and has not been established as fact.

“Epstein, for Trump, was a dangerous man,” Wolff wrote. But, according to the author, Epstein believed the danger went both ways once Trump became president.

Wolff said Trump’s election remained a major preoccupation for Epstein even while the financier faced mounting legal problems of his own.

“It was an obsession born out of his personal understanding of his old friend, and, I believe, his particular fear of him,” Wolff wrote.

Trump has repeatedly sought to distance himself from Epstein in the years since their former friendship came under scrutiny. In 2019, Trump said he had fallen out with Epstein long before the financier’s arrest and declared, “I wasn’t a fan.”

Epstein’s relationships with wealthy and powerful figures have remained under intense scrutiny years after his death, with government records and other documents continuing to fuel questions about the extent of his network and what those around him knew about his crimes.
