Singer ‘Disinvited’ from Mar-a-Lago Gala After Kimmel Show (Video)

Jelly Roll’s jokes about President Donald Trump are continuing to follow him — and now they’ve apparently cost the country star an invitation to a major law enforcement fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago.

The singer was formally uninvited from the Second Annual Big Blue Bash, a November gala hosted by Law Enforcement Today to raise money for the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association Foundation.

But there’s a twist: A source close to Jelly Roll told Fox News Digital that his team never knew about the invitation in the first place and only learned about the controversy through social media.

Kyle Reyes of Law Enforcement Today said Jelly Roll had been sent an invitation on April 26 asking whether he would perform several worship songs to close out the event at Trump’s Palm Beach, Florida, resort.

According to Reyes, Jelly Roll never responded.

Following the singer’s headline-making stint as guest host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in August, however, Reyes publicly announced that the invitation was being withdrawn.

“On April 26, 2026, we made the mistake of sending a formal invitation to country artist Jelly Roll to perform at this year’s Second Annual Big Blue Bash at Mar-A-Lago, the home of President Trump,” Reyes wrote on X.

The fundraiser benefits the FLEOA Foundation, which supports families of wounded and fallen federal law enforcement officers. Organizers say senior federal law enforcement officials, sheriffs, police chiefs and other supporters are expected to attend.

This year’s theme is “American Superheroes,” with Lou Ferrigno, Dean Cain and Kevin Sorbo among the announced guests.

The original invitation described the gala as a “God-centered” event and said organizers hoped Jelly Roll would close the night with his music.

That invitation became a problem after Jelly Roll unleashed a string of jokes aimed at Trump while filling in for Jimmy Kimmel.

During one monologue, Jelly Roll mocked Trump’s weight and physical fitness while referencing his own dramatic weight loss.

“From one fat pig to another,” Jelly Roll joked before saying he had lost roughly 300 pounds — or, as he put it, “an entire Donald Trump.”

He followed that up with another jab about Trump’s approval ratings.

The comments quickly sparked backlash, particularly among some conservative country music fans who had previously assumed Jelly Roll leaned politically to the right.

Jelly Roll addressed the firestorm during his final night hosting “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” rejecting suggestions that the show’s writers had forced him to make the Trump jokes.

He said he was simply “telling it like it is” and joked that people had gone from believing he was MAGA to thinking he was a “liberal snowflake.”

The singer also attempted to clarify where he actually stands politically.

“Sure, I lean left on some things,” Jelly Roll said, adding that he considers himself largely “down the middle.”

He pointed to his Christian faith, country music career, farming and bow hunting before joking that he would miss his “communist, Antifa friends” on Kimmel’s staff.

Reyes was not amused.

In his social media statement, he accused Jelly Roll of attacking Trump and conservatives and said the singer’s behavior was incompatible with the faith-centered atmosphere organizers wanted for the gala.

Reyes later told Fox News Digital that organizers would not welcome Jelly Roll “into the home of the very man he decided to attack.”

He also claimed Jelly Roll’s comments amounted to a betrayal of his fans and faith.

The event is still moving forward without him.

Country artists Rachel Holt and Coffey Anderson are scheduled to perform, while Reyes said an “American Idol” star will also take part in a surprise tribute honoring the families of fallen officers.

FLEOA describes itself as a nonpartisan professional association supporting law enforcement officers across different agencies and presidential administrations.

FLEOA had not immediately responded to Fox News Digital’s request for additional comment.

So while organizers have very publicly declared Jelly Roll persona non grata at the Mar-a-Lago fundraiser, the singer’s camp is offering a decidedly different version of events — saying there was never an accepted appearance to cancel in the first place.
