“Pretty Little Liars” actor Keegan Allen was left bleeding from the head after authorities say two armed men confronted him during a frightening robbery in West Hollywood.
The 37-year-old actor later shared disturbing footage showing blood covering his face and clothing as he described the Thursday night attack, which unfolded outside a popular grocery store along Santa Monica Boulevard.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to the 8400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard at about 9:05 p.m. on Oct. 8 following a report of a robbery.
Authorities said Allen told deputies that two men dressed in black approached him. One suspect allegedly pointed a silver handgun at the actor while the second brandished a knife.
The men demanded Allen’s watch and bracelet, according to investigators.
Allen was then struck in the face with the handgun before the suspects took his watch and fled in a vehicle, authorities said.
The blow left Allen with a laceration to his forehead.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel evaluated him at the scene, but he was not transported to a hospital.
Allen later posted video of the bloody aftermath on social media, saying the attack occurred outside Laurel Supply in West Hollywood.
“I was just robbed of my watch outside Laurel Supply,” Allen said in the video. “These two dudes hit me in the head and pointed a gun at me with a knife and then took off.”
Allen also posted what appeared to be surveillance footage of the confrontation. He said the thieves stole his Rolex.
In an emotional caption accompanying the footage, Allen said the attackers threatened to kill him.
“West Hollywood is not safe anymore,” he wrote, adding that his attackers threatened his life “over my watch.”
Allen expressed relief that the confrontation did not turn deadly, writing, “God said no tonight. My life for a watch.”
The actor also criticized California and Los Angeles-area officials while questioning whether the region’s network of license-plate-reading cameras would help authorities identify the suspects.
Allen specifically mentioned Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Bass’ office responded by condemning the attack and noting that West Hollywood is an independent city where law enforcement services are provided by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department rather than the Los Angeles Police Department.
“This is egregious — no one should have to experience something like this,” Bass’ office said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital.
The mayor’s office said LAPD would assist regional law enforcement partners if needed.
As of Friday, authorities had not announced any arrests in connection with the robbery, and detailed descriptions of the suspects had not been released.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Major Crimes Division is investigating.
Local reporting also noted that the robbery occurred roughly one week after a separate violent incident in the same general area, where a man was shot outside a clothing store on Holloway Drive.
A sheriff’s official said investigators had no information suggesting the two incidents were connected.
Allen became widely known for playing Toby Cavanaugh on the hit teen drama “Pretty Little Liars,” appearing on the series from 2010 until its conclusion in 2017.
He later played Liam Walker on “Walker” from 2021 to 2024 and appeared on “The Rookie” in 2026.
The actor’s bloody video quickly drew attention online as fans reacted to how suddenly an ordinary night had apparently turned into a potentially deadly confrontation.
For investigators, the surveillance footage could now become one of the most important pieces of evidence as authorities work to identify the two men and determine what vehicle they used to escape.
Anyone with information about the robbery can contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s West Hollywood Station at 310-855-8850.
