Widespread Voting Problems in ‘Heavily Republican’ Counties

On Election Day, two crucial Republican counties in Pennsylvania are facing widespread problems with their voting machines, sending shockwaves through conservative strongholds.

In Cambria and Bedford Counties—areas where former President Donald Trump took a commanding lead with 68% and 83% of the vote in 2020—voting machines are down, leaving ballots unscanned and voters frustrated.

Cambria County Solicitor Ron Repak confirmed the issues, stating, “A software malfunction has prevented voters from scanning their ballots.” A court order was filed to extend voting hours until 10 p.m., an urgent measure to allow every voice to be heard.

As America watches Pennsylvania—a top battleground state—these glitches could have far-reaching consequences. With both Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris campaigning hard in Johnstown, the stakes couldn’t be higher.

Nathan Anderson, an IT specialist and lifelong resident of Johnstown, reported issues while casting his ballot for Trump. He was instructed to leave his ballot in a lockbox for later scanning, raising doubts about the integrity of the process. “I turned in my ballot, but whether it gets scanned, I’ll never know,” Anderson said, echoing the frustrations of many voters who felt their voices might go unheard.

Meanwhile, Anderson’s wife, Jessie, who chose to vote early this year, noted that her decision was influenced by Trump’s warnings. “I’ve never voted early, but Trump kept saying, ‘Make it too big to rig,’” she said. Her foresight to cast her ballot early, on October 29, ensured her vote was safely recorded before the Election Day chaos began.

The Pennsylvania Department of State has been notified and is scrambling to assist local officials. “Voters are continuing to vote by paper ballot, in accordance with normal operations,” the department noted. But with multiple counties allegedly affected—including Blair, Somerset, and Clearfield—questions loom large about the overall security and efficiency of Pennsylvania’s voting system.

As officials race to resolve this technical breakdown, local Republicans and voting integrity advocates are sounding the alarm. Bedford County, another Republican stronghold, is dealing with similar issues, with ballots locked up until machines are operational.

While election officials assure that all votes will be counted, the damage is done. Many in the GOP view this breakdown as yet another attempt to undermine conservative voices in a state critical to the presidential race.

  1. This is so unacceptable!!!! Why don’t they just start doing manual ballots with ID & count off that. I guarantee you if this was turned around and these were strong democratic cities, they would be screaming. There’s no way they would accept the results. These kind of last minute glitches, no way this isn’t election interference. You’ve had 4 years to get your act together, it sounds like a sound bite from last election & their just following the script!!!!!

  2. Such utter BS! Close down that party for good. This is unacceptable and goes against what the people want! Such abuse of power these democrats are using.

RNC START PLAYING HARD BALL! WE’RE TIRED OF THIS COUNTRY BEING DESTROYED!
