Dad Who Ranted Against Trump Kills Entire Family

In a chilling and tragic sequence of events, 46-year-old Anthony Nephew of Duluth, Minnesota, murdered his wife, ex-partner, and two young sons before taking his own life, local authorities reported.

The community of nearly 90,000 people, located 135 miles north of Minneapolis, is grappling with the aftermath of a crime that has left residents shocked and searching for answers.

Duluth Police Chief Mike Ceynowa addressed the media on Friday, detailing the harrowing case that unfolded just a day prior. “This incident is a painful reminder of how mental health struggles, left unchecked, can lead to catastrophic outcomes,” Ceynowa said, confirming a troubling “pattern of mental health issues” associated with Nephew.

The first grisly discovery occurred Thursday afternoon. Responding to a welfare check, officers entered the home of Nephew’s former partner, 47-year-old Erin Abramson, and their teenage son, 15-year-old Jacob Nephew. Both were found shot to death. Authorities immediately identified Anthony Nephew as a primary suspect and rushed to his nearby family home, where the nightmare only deepened. Inside, they found the bodies of Nephew’s current wife, 45-year-old Kathryn Nephew, and their 7-year-old son, Oliver Nephew. Nephew himself lay dead beside them, a gunshot wound to his head indicating suicide.

Before the killings, Anthony Nephew left a public trail of disturbing social media posts, frequently sharing anti-Trump rhetoric and intense views on religion and politics. “My mental health and the world can no longer peacefully coexist, and a lot of the reason is religion,” Nephew wrote in July. He described haunting fears of religious persecution, even envisioning himself “burned at the stake as a witch” or “crucified on a burning cross.” The post is a haunting window into a man seemingly at war with his own mind and the external forces he perceived as threatening.

Another post in July encapsulated his political disillusionment: “Not that anyone cares, but as an Independent voter, I would really like to see both the political parties in our country pick better candidates. We can do better than a binary choice between fascism and not fascism.” Nephew’s online presence suggested a man battling political frustrations and inner demons. In one foreboding op-ed for the Duluth News Tribune in 2021, Nephew had issued a grim premonition: “For millions of Americans, a breakdown leads to suicide — or homicide before suicide. Mental health in this country is stigmatized, ignored, or treated as a burden for the individual to bear alone.”

His writings also highlighted systemic critiques, like accusing Republicans of enabling abusive relationships by restricting women’s rights. He ominously referenced The Handmaid’s Tale, writing, “Gilead here we come,” alluding to a dystopian society where women’s freedoms are nonexistent. Another social media post contrasted images of political leaders, juxtaposing words like “hate” under Trump with “hope” and “heal” under Biden and Harris.

Despite this apparent forewarning, the exact motive remains unclear. Investigators have not determined what precisely drove Nephew to commit such an unfathomable act of violence. The Duluth Police Department emphasized there is no ongoing threat to the community, but the ripple effects of this tragedy are far from over.

Mental health advocates and city leaders are calling for deeper conversations about societal support systems. “We cannot afford to ignore the signs any longer,” said one local mental health professional. In the wake of immense grief, Duluth is left reckoning with what could have been done to prevent such devastating loss.

  1. How sad! This is what the left, media and deranged democrats have caused with their evil rhetoric because they want to rule everything. People with emotional problems already, take the hate to heart and do irrational things. Blood if on their hands.

  2. Ever wonder what the people that voted for Kamala, what they had in mind for us, if Kamala would had won the election.💀🇻🇳☠️🇻🇳???????????
