Melania Trump Says She Was ‘Persecuted’

Incoming First Lady Melania Trump revealed shocking details about the professional and personal fallout she’s faced since her family’s time in the White House. In a candid October 7 interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, Trump described instances of alleged discrimination tied to her political associations.

The scrutiny, she explained, began as early as 2015, when Donald Trump announced his first presidential campaign, and persisted even after their departure in 2021. “The bank suddenly informed me they will not be able to do business with me anymore,” Melania recalled, highlighting a troubling incident where her financial institution abruptly ended their relationship.

But the challenges extended beyond banking. A prominent email provider terminated its agreement with her, and an attempt to support foster children through a university scholarship program was rejected after her name was attached to the donation.

“The board of directors called back, they found out that it was me, they said, ‘We could not go on,’” Melania said. She lamented the impact on foster children who missed out on the scholarships, stating, “They didn’t want to do business with me because of political affiliation, my political beliefs.”

A Persistent Battle Against “Cancel Culture”

When asked whether these incidents have become less frequent, Trump acknowledged some progress but said cancel culture remains a significant force. “I think some people got the courage and they see what’s going on,” she said. “They’re not afraid to speak, but it’s still going on.”

The interview coincided with the release of her memoir, Melania, which debuted at the top of the New York Times bestseller list. The book reportedly delves further into her experiences, offering an inside look at her time as First Lady and beyond.

Barron Trump’s Role in Donald Trump’s 2024 Campaign

In the same interview, Melania credited her son Barron Trump for playing a pivotal role in rallying younger voters to his father’s 2024 presidential campaign.

“He is a grown young man,” she said proudly. “He knows his generation… He brought in so many young people.” Barron, now 18, advised his father to engage audiences on platforms popular with younger demographics, such as podcasts like The Joe Rogan Experience and live streams like Adin Ross’ Kick channel.

Barron’s digital strategy, Melania said, was instrumental in expanding Donald Trump’s reach. “It was incredible how he brought in success because he knew exactly who his father needed to contact and talk to.”

A Different College Experience

Melania also shared updates on Barron’s life as a freshman at New York University’s Stern School of Business. She acknowledged that his college experience is far from typical, saying, “It’s very different than any other kid.”

Despite the unique challenges of being in the public eye, Barron has embraced his role. “He’s very strong, and he knows he’s in a different position than other children,” Melania said, expressing pride in her son’s resilience.

Her advice to Barron reflects her values: “Make your dreams come true. This is your road. This is your life. And make sure that you listen to yourself, your likes and dislikes.”

Melania’s revelations paint a vivid picture of life after the White House, underscoring the challenges of navigating a divided cultural landscape while remaining steadfast in her principles.
