“In the past 48 hours, HHS canceled 62 contracts worth $182 million,” DOGE declared on social media. “These contracts were nothing but wasteful spending—NONE touched actual healthcare. One of the first to go? A $168,000 shrine glorifying Anthony Fauci.”
The now-trashed exhibit was set to open in July 2025, hailing Fauci’s decades in public health. But for millions of Americans who suffered under his draconian COVID-19 lockdowns and ever-changing mandates, this tribute was nothing short of an insult.

Musk’s DOGE agency has been working at warp speed to dismantle the bloated bureaucracy that has long drained taxpayers’ pockets. In recent weeks, the agency has rolled out bold plans to completely eliminate the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and put an end to billions in unchecked entitlement payments.
Senior Trump adviser Stephen Miller cheered the latest move. “For years, Washington elites wasted taxpayer dollars on vanity projects and corrupt bureaucracies. The American people demanded real action. This isn’t just ‘drain the swamp’—this is taking a flamethrower to it.”

HHS did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
