TEN Nurses from the SAME Hospital Floor Get Brain Tumors

“This can’t be a coincidence.” That’s the warning from frontline nurses at a Massachusetts hospital where at least ten medical staff—all from the same maternity unit—have reportedly been diagnosed with brain tumors. And now? They’re demanding answers.

Instead, what they’ve gotten from leadership is a cold, clinical dismissal and a carefully-worded press release.

“We’re Scared. And They Don’t Seem to Care.”

The alarm bells started ringing when one veteran nurse at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, part of the Mass General Brigham network, realized just how many of her colleagues had received devastating diagnoses over the years.

“It’s getting to the point where the number just increases, and you start saying, ‘Am I crazy thinking this? This can’t just be a coincidence,” she told WBZ-TV, requesting anonymity for fear of retaliation.

She claims ten nurses—all from the same unit—have been diagnosed with different types of brain tumors. At least three have undergone surgery. Some tumors were benign. Others were cancerous. But the growing trend is impossible to ignore for those working on the ground.

“We want to feel safe,” she added. “The same way we want to make our patients feel safe.”

Yet the hospital’s response? A corporate-sounding statement claiming their “investigation” turned up no environmental risks.

Institutional Denial or Inconvenient Truth?

According to hospital officials, they’ve been running tests since December. Their internal team—alongside unnamed “external consultants”—allegedly found no link between the ward and the spike in tumors.

In a statement signed by Dr. Jonathon Sonis, Associate Chief Medical Officer, and Sandy Muse, Chief Nursing Officer, the hospital said:

“We conducted an extensive investigation… including environmental assessments following CDC guidelines… We can confidently reassure our team members and patients there is no environmental risk at our facility.”

But staff aren’t buying it.

“We Were the Last to Know.”

Paula Ward of the Massachusetts Nurses Association—the union representing many of the affected nurses—said concerns were raised months ago, but the hospital has dragged its feet.

“Nurses are scared. They’re worried. And they want to make sure they’re not working in an unsafe place,” Ward said.

One nurse said they weren’t even notified properly:

“We were the ones that brought this to their attention, but we feel like we’ve been the last to be told anything.”

A spokesperson later confirmed that not all affected nurses worked in the same unit at the same time—and some of the cases even pre-date the COVID-19 pandemic. But for many, that’s just another excuse.

Follow the Science or Follow the Silence?

While the hospital pats itself on the back for “transparency,” nurses say they’re still in the dark—and they’re not backing down. They’re now calling for an independent investigation, one not controlled by the same hospital executives who want to sweep this story under the rug.

Because here’s the question no one in the hospital’s press office seems to want to answer:

Why are so many nurses, in one specific department, being diagnosed with brain tumors?

And why is the hospital more focused on public relations than public health?

Bottom Line:

  • 10+ nurses. One unit.
  • Years of silence.
  • A growing medical mystery no one in power wants to solve.

This isn’t just about one hospital. This is about accountability in American healthcare—and about the people risking their lives every day while administrators protect the brand, not the staff.

Where is the outrage? Where is the action?

  1. My guess is the side effects from the china virus vax. These poor women were probably given a choice at the time of vax’s. I am also from the medical field and was unable to work at the time for a rotator cuff injury. I didn’t take the vax, and I lived just fine without it. Anytime an agency pushes the rote, ‘follow the science’, there is something wrong. In this case, you don’t isolate the well, but the ill. Their science was completely backwards and the world bought it. I feel really terrible for these poor ladies and hopefully with prayers and real doctors, they will be well, again.

  2. If it isn’t the vaccine, it has to be the radiation machines, or other medical units used, for all to have some form of brain tumor is unbelievable, and they all work on the same floor. Start looking into it WTH u going to wait until they die.

  3. This same thing was occurring in the maternity unit at UC San Francisco Medical Center back in the 1980’s. I believe that was the decade when it was happening.

  4. The hospital’s response means absolutely nothing. That many cases of that particular cancer among the relatively small staff numbers is not a coincidence.
