Dem Publicly Admits She Wasn’t Qualified for Her Job

In a moment that lit up conservative corners of social media and raised serious concerns about the direction of the American justice system, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) openly admitted during a congressional hearing that she was hired as a public defender—despite having zero experience—because she is Black.

“I said, ‘You should hire me.’ He said, ‘Why?’ I said, ‘Because I’m Black,’” Crockett told fellow lawmakers Wednesday.

Yes, you read that right.

Crockett made the shocking claim during a House Judiciary Subcommittee hearing on corruption within the FBI, of all things. Instead of focusing on systemic rot under the Biden administration, the Texas Democrat decided to offer her own resume as proof that race-based hiring is not only acceptable—it should be celebrated.

The congresswoman went on to explain that her identity alone would allow her to relate to clients in ways other lawyers couldn’t.

“When I walk in, I’m going to walk in with a level of rapport and understanding that maybe some of my other colleagues will not,” she claimed. “Charlie offered me the job.”

No experience. No credentials in criminal defense. Just identity.

She then quickly pivoted to defending DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) policies in law enforcement, arguing that crime victims should be able to see officers and attorneys who “look like them.”

“We don’t want them to look at us and act as if just because I’m Black or because I’m a woman that I am not worthy of having that case investigated,” she said.

Critics say her remarks reveal everything wrong with the Biden-era obsession with identity politics—and the disturbing rise of “diversity hires” in positions that demand real qualifications.

Conservatives Fire Back

The backlash was fast, fierce, and widespread.

“INCREDIBLE. Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett publicly admits that she only got her job as a public defender because she was Black,” posted Libs of TikTok. “Crockett is a DEI hire, CONFIRMED.”

Charlie Kirk didn’t hold back either:

“Jasmine Crockett brags about being a DEI hire.”

Legal expert Dr. Carol Swain chimed in, saying,

“Wow! This EXPLAINS a lot!”

And Matt Vespa, senior editor at Townhall, flatly declared:

“This woman is a cartoon character.”

The moment has become yet another flashpoint in the national debate over whether diversity quotas are replacing merit in America’s most critical institutions—from law enforcement to the courtroom.

The Bigger Picture

It’s worth asking: How many Americans have been represented—or prosecuted—by people chosen for their skin color instead of their skills? How long before this ideology infects every level of government?

President Trump has long warned about the dangers of DEI and affirmative action. His stance? “We need the best people—period.”

This latest revelation from the halls of Congress only confirms what many Americans already fear: under Democrat leadership, qualifications take a backseat to woke identity politics.

  1. She wasn’t hire because she was Black, she had the qualifications and made the case that she could relate to Black defendants better than white attorneys.
