‘Millionaire’ Whoopi Goldberg Demands Americans ‘Suck It Up’ and Pay More Taxes

Whoopi Goldberg, millionaire co-host of ABC’s controversial daytime talk show “The View,” is facing sharp criticism after telling struggling American families to “suck it up” and “pay a little more taxes.” Goldberg’s comments, delivered on Thursday’s episode, drew immediate backlash for their perceived hypocrisy and insensitivity amid ongoing economic challenges.

Goldberg, whose estimated net worth stands at a staggering $60 million, argued that everyday Americans need to shoulder higher taxes to fund public schools and community infrastructure—despite openly acknowledging that families nationwide are already “struggling with everything on a day-to-day basis.”

“A 90-day pause doesn’t mean anything to anyone because people are struggling with everyone they’re living with day to day,” Goldberg said dismissively. “Now is the time for each and every one of us to suck it up and make sure we know what we need to take care of. She bizarrely claimed earlier this year that Trump “ruined” an economy she argued Biden had successfully built, despite official reports showing the Consumer Price Index easing significantly under Trump’s current term.

Goldberg’s remarks have reignited broader criticism against Hollywood elites lecturing ordinary Americans on economic issues. “It’s typical liberal hypocrisy,” stated Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). “Millionaires like Whoopi lecture us from their mansions while regular folks suffer. President Trump understands the struggles of the real America; Whoopi clearly does not.”

Meanwhile, Goldberg’s claim on Wednesday that egg prices hadn’t fallen “one cent” since Trump took office has been widely debunked. Data from Trading Economics shows egg prices have actually plummeted by 45% since January, offering relief to American families after years of inflationary pressure.
