Arnold Schwarzenegger in a “Midlife Crisis” According to Famous Son

Patrick Schwarzenegger is opening up about his dad’s unexpected new era — and it sounds more like a Hollywood comedy than real life.

During a recent appearance on Literally! With Rob Lowe, the 31-year-old actor dished on what it’s like watching his father, The Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger, navigate what he hilariously described as a “midlife crisis” filled with animals, cigars, and homemade meals… for his pets.

“He’s totally embraced this new act of life,” Patrick said. “It’s like Doctor Dolittle meets midlife crisis — but make it peaceful and weirdly wholesome.”

Arnold, now 77, isn’t just enjoying retirement — he’s surrounded by an entourage of animals, including a miniature donkey, a pony, a pig, a Chihuahua, a malamute-husky mix, and another massive dog Patrick said weighs “like 150 kilos.”

“He’ll be sitting at the dinner table with a cigar in his mouth, the mini donkey on the right, the pony on the left, the pig under the table, and the Chihuahua on his lap,” Patrick shared. “It’s literally a movie scene.”

And speaking of movies — one might actually be in the works. According to Lowe, legendary producer Brian Grazer is developing a film centered around Arnold and his beloved animals. “I keep bugging Brian about it,” Lowe said. “There’s nothing I’d rather watch.”

Patrick’s response? “I’m hoping it happens.”

But the dad jokes didn’t stop there. Lowe also teased Arnold’s unique sense of style, asking, “When did he start dressing like Adam Sandler?”

Patrick laughed and admitted that even during official photo shoots, Arnold shows up in whatever he’s wearing — often a T-shirt of himself with a cigar in hand. “It doesn’t get any better,” he said.

Fans are loving the quirky father-son banter. After Lowe posted about the interview on Instagram, comments poured in:
