Sylvester Stallone, the legendary action star, recently showed off a surprising skill: dancing. At 78, the “Rocky” star shared a lighthearted clip on social media where he busted some moves during a clothes fitting. Stallone, known for his tough-guy persona, revealed a more playful side as he swayed to Smokey Robinson and the Miracles’ classic Motown hit, “More Love.”
The clip, filmed during a fitting for an upcoming project, caught fans by surprise. Stallone, barefoot and dressed in a fitted navy sweater and jeans, moved with ease to the beat, captivating viewers. “I was caught off guard during a fitting—great song though!” he explained in the post.
Fans, thrilled by the unexpected dance, quickly predicted the video would go viral. One enthusiastic commenter declared, “This dance will go viral!” while another jokingly asked if Stallone was preparing for a “Magic Mike” sequel.
Though Stallone has no formal dance training, his charisma and rhythm likely come from his colorful childhood. His late mother, Jacqueline Stallone, was once a manager of lady wrestlers, a fact Stallone has discussed in past interviews. He’s humorously admitted to picking up some moves while “frolicking around” with the women she managed, who he described as “unemployed pole dancers.”
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Stallone’s dancing has caught attention. Back in 1991, at the Cannes Film Festival, Stallone shared a memorable waltz with his former rival-turned-friend Arnold Schwarzenegger. The two action stars, known for their fierce competition in Hollywood, surprised everyone when they danced together to the Gipsy Kings’ music. Schwarzenegger later recalled the moment fondly, though Stallone reportedly hated being led during the dance.
Stallone’s lighter side also shone through in a 1997 “Saturday Night Live” skit, where he joined Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan for a disco-inspired dance-off. His moves left the audience stunned as he effortlessly kept up with the younger cast members.
With a history of surprise dance performances and fun social media posts with his daughters, many are wondering—could “Dancing with the Stars” be next for Stallone? Only time will tell, but fans are certainly ready to see more of his hidden talents.
‘Then we all of a sudden stopped and he said, “God damn it, you’re leading, I hate that,”‘ Sly’s future The Expendables co-star revealed.
In the 1997 Stallone went full disco on Saturday Night Live in a skit featuring with Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan as the Roxbury Guys.
The audience was astounded at his nimble moves as he stole the dance floor from the cast members and was joined by a group of kids and young adults dressed in T-shirts and suits.
The actor has also appeared on social media yukking it up with his daughters. With experience with the waltz and disco, could an apperance on Dancing with the Stars be next?
