Hall of Famer’s Celebration Goes Horribly Wrong on Stage During Ceremony (Video)

Jared Allen brought his signature flair to Canton over the weekend — and a bit more than he intended.

The former NFL star and one of the league’s most feared pass rushers was officially inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, joining the 2025 class alongside Sterling Sharpe, Eric Allen, and Antonio Gates.

After receiving his iconic gold jacket, Allen decided to relive his playing days with a throwback to his famous sack celebration. But there was one small problem — his dress pants weren’t built for that kind of action.

Mid-celebration, Allen tore the back of his pants wide open, with the rip reportedly stretching from his backside all the way down to his knee. The crowd roared, and Allen took it in stride with a big laugh and a classic shrug.

Drafted in 2004, Allen played 12 seasons in the NFL for the Chiefs, Vikings, Bears, and Panthers. He’s remembered best for his time in Minnesota, where he became a fan favorite and racked up most of his 136 career sacks — the 12th-most in league history.

He led the league in sacks twice, earned four All-Pro nods, five Pro Bowl appearances, and still holds the NFL records for most career safeties (four) and most in a single season (two).

Allen retired in 2015 after a Super Bowl loss to the Denver Broncos — Peyton Manning’s final game — but his larger-than-life personality is clearly still in championship form.

Wardrobe malfunction aside, Allen’s induction was a moment of celebration for fans who loved his grit, his energy, and now, his sense of humor.
