Trump Ally Pelted with Rocks During Political Rally

Argentina’s conservative, Trump-aligned president Javier Milei was rushed away from a campaign rally Wednesday after violent left-wing protesters hurled rocks, bottles, and even plant pots at his motorcade.

The 54-year-old leader, who has become a rising star among global conservatives and a close ally of President Donald Trump, was passing through a neighborhood in Lomas de Zamora, just south of Buenos Aires, when chaos erupted. Supporters and protesters clashed as security scrambled to shield Milei and his sister, Karina Milei, from the violent mob.

Presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni slammed the attack, blaming radical Kirchnerist operatives — Argentina’s entrenched leftist establishment — for orchestrating the violence. “Militants of the old politics, pure Kirchnerism, and a model of violence that only the cavemen of the past want,” Adorni wrote on X. “They attacked with stones the caravan where the President of the Nation was located. There are no injuries. Kirchnerism never again.”

Milei, who has become known for his bold economic reforms and aggressive cuts to government spending, was unharmed. His sister Karina, Argentina’s Secretary General of the Presidency, also escaped without injury.

Tensions have been running high after leaked audio recordings by former disability agency head Diego Spagnuolo alleged Karina Milei received kickbacks from pharmaceutical sales tied to Argentina’s disability services agency. Milei called the allegations “total lies” just moments before the rally turned violent, vowing to “bring him to justice and prove he lied.”

Despite the controversy, Milei continues to enjoy strong support from conservatives worldwide, including Trump, who praised him at CPAC earlier this year as “a great gentleman” and “one of the few people in politics actually getting things done.” During the event, Milei famously presented Elon Musk with the chainsaw he used as a campaign prop, symbolizing his promise to slash bureaucracy and government waste. Musk called it “the chainsaw for bureaucracy,” a nod to Milei’s unapologetically bold agenda.

Wednesday’s violence underscores Argentina’s growing political divide, as Milei pushes ahead with reforms aimed at dismantling decades of failed socialist policies. His supporters argue he’s the only one willing to take on Argentina’s entrenched political class and “Make Argentina Great Again,” while critics resort to increasingly aggressive tactics to derail his agenda.

  3. Same old socialist/communist/nazi playbook! Violence to get their way! And there really is no difference between socialism. Communism and nazism- all want the state to control the individual, make the individual rely on the state and use some kind of hate to bind the majority!!
