Viral ‘Teacher Bae’ Claims She’s being Body Shamed After Dress Code Backlash

An elementary school educator turned viral influencer, known online as “Teacher Bae,” is firing back after critics accused her of dressing “too provocatively” for the classroom — insisting she hasn’t broken any rules and is being unfairly judged for her curves.

Ms. Williams, who teaches at a Georgia public school, has built a massive following by sharing her daily outfits on Instagram and TikTok. But the same form-fitting dresses and pencil skirts that skyrocketed her to influencer status have now made her the target of online outrage.

“I haven’t broken any dress code,” Williams said in a new interview. “They’re complaining about my shape. That’s all I see — shape-shaming, nothing else.”

Williams believes the backlash has less to do with professionalism and more to do with jealousy. “If I didn’t have curves, no one would care,” she argued. “But because of my body, suddenly it’s inappropriate.”

The controversy has reignited a wider debate over what teachers should — and shouldn’t — share online. Critics argue that educators should project a “professional image” while representing schools funded by taxpayers. Others see the backlash as hypocritical, pointing out that Williams follows all school guidelines and that her outfits are no different from thousands of other teachers on social media.

“Everybody loves me here,” Williams said, referring to her students and coworkers. “They think I dress nice. I don’t have any issues with my staff or students at all.”

Parents, however, are divided. While many support Williams’ right to express herself, others believe she’s leveraging her position for social media fame. One parent on X (formerly Twitter) blasted, “It’s about our kids’ role models, not Instagram likes.”

For now, Williams isn’t backing down. Her online following continues to grow — with supporters praising her confidence and critics fueling engagement with every comment.

“This is America,” she told TMZ Live. “I can follow the rules and still be myself. I’m not going to let anybody shame me for my body.”

The district hasn’t commented publicly on the controversy, and with no dress code violations on record, it seems unlikely Williams will face any disciplinary action.
