Trump Makes ‘Romantic Confession’ About Melania at Halloween Party

Donald Trump got a little personal at his glitzy Mar-a-Lago Halloween bash, revealing he wanted some alone time with his wife Melania, a lip reader told the Daily Mail.

The president hosted a Roaring 20s–inspired Great Gatsby party for his MAGA friends on Friday, with the official theme, “A little party never killed nobody,” taken from the 2013 film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel.

Trump sat at a table with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and his wife Jeanette, Judge Jeanine Pirro, and his son-in-law Michael Boulos, who is married to Tiffany Trump. Video from the evening captured Trump whispering to Rubio about his plans for the night.

“No small talk,” Trump reportedly said. “One night, I don’t want to be disturbed and want to spend some time with Melania before I leave.”

Guests embraced the 1920s theme with flair. Pirro showed off a sparkling green flapper dress, while Jeanette Rubio shared photos of her flowing white gown and long pearl necklace, captioning her post, “Great time last night at Mar-a-Lago.” Giant balloons floated in the pool as part of the decor, setting the scene for the extravaganza.

The party came after a whirlwind week for the president, who had been traveling across Asia before returning to the White House on Thursday to hand out candy with Melania. The couple went viral during trick-or-treating, with Trump recreating his 2019 candy bar moment by placing a chocolate piece on a child dressed as DJ Marshmello, echoing a similar prank he pulled during his first term with a Minion costume. Melania charmed onlookers by comforting a young girl startled by the Halloween decorations.

But not everyone was impressed with the Great Gatsby festivities. Critics slammed Trump for hosting a lavish party on the same day the Department of Agriculture announced it would freeze Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) payments due to the government shutdown. California Governor Gavin Newsom tweeted, “Donald Trump hosted a Great Gatsby party while SNAP benefits were about to disappear for 42 million Americans. He does not give a damn about you.”

Democratic National Committee chair Ken Martin echoed the sentiment, saying the event highlighted that the president doesn’t care about average Americans. Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy added, “The way he rubs his inhumanity in Americans’ face never ceases to stun me.”

White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly defended Trump, telling ABC News that the shutdown is on Democrats to resolve. “These Democrats are full of it,” she said. “President Trump has consistently called on them to do the right thing and reopen the government, which they could do at any time.”
