Hunter Biden Wants a Cage Fight with Trump’s Sons

Hunter Biden is back in the headlines again — this time for joking that he wants to step into a cage with President Donald Trump’s oldest sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, in what critics will likely see as yet another bizarre chapter in the Biden family saga.

The comment came in a promotional video for YouTube personality Andrew Callaghan’s Channel 5 Carnival & Talent Show Tour, where Hunter said he was “100% in” for the idea if it could actually be pulled off. Reuters and other outlets reported that the remark was made as part of the tour promotion, and Callaghan later said it was sarcastic and ad-libbed.

In the video, Hunter said he believed Callaghan was trying to set up “a cage match, me vs. Eric and Don Jr.,” before adding that he had already told him he would do it. Even if the fight never happens, the comment was enough to light up social media and stir fresh attention around one of the most controversial figures tied to the Biden name.

The timing only adds more fuel to the spectacle. Hunter is set to appear at tour stops in Phoenix, San Diego, and Albuquerque this month, where he is expected to take part in post-screening Q&A sessions. What may have been intended as a joke quickly turned into another national flashpoint because of who said it — and because of the years of baggage surrounding the former president’s son.

For many conservatives, Hunter’s wisecrack is not just another oddball celebrity-style moment. It is a reminder of how often he has remained in the public eye despite a long trail of scandals, addiction struggles, legal troubles, and political controversy.

In 2024, he was convicted on felony gun charges tied to his past drug use, and he was later pardoned by his father, then-President Joe Biden, in his gun and tax cases — a move that triggered immediate backlash from critics who argued it confirmed a two-tiered justice system. That pardon was announced on December 1, 2024.

President Trump has continued to make Hunter a symbol of what his supporters call elite privilege and political protection. In January 2026, the White House highlighted as one of Trump’s “365 wins” that Hunter had been stripped of his taxpayer-funded Secret Service detail, after Trump had already blasted the level of protection Hunter reportedly received. The White House published the “365 wins” release on January 20, 2026.

So far, there has been no formal sign that Don Jr. or Eric Trump plans to respond to the cage-fight chatter. But whether it was a joke, a stunt, or just another attempt to grab attention, the moment once again put Hunter Biden exactly where he always seems to end up — right at the center of a loud, messy political circus.
