In an explosive twist to the Jeffrey Epstein saga, convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell has claimed that Epstein may have been set up on a date with Princess Diana — while also alleging that Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, was “putting the moves” on the disgraced financier.
The shocking revelations come from newly released tapes obtained by the Department of Justice, recorded during a closed-door interview with Maxwell, 63, at a federal prison last month.
“I believe Jeffrey went to London to meet Diana,” Maxwell told Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. “I don’t know if he sat with her or met her, but I believe this was organized by Rosa.”
She was referring to Rosa Monckton, a British socialite and one of Diana’s closest friends, married to journalist Dominic Lawson.
Maxwell hinted Epstein’s supposed encounter with the Princess of Wales happened at a “big event” in London sometime in the 1990s. But her timeline raised eyebrows — she placed the meeting in the early 2000s, despite Diana’s tragic death in a Paris car crash in 1997.
“I don’t know if she was being set up as a date for him,” Maxwell said hesitantly. “I don’t want to speak badly of Diana. I’m not going to do that.”
Though Maxwell’s claims remain unverified, they add a provocative new layer to Epstein’s connections with Britain’s elite. Author Michael Wolff has previously alleged Epstein and Donald Trump once competed to be the first to sleep with Diana, telling the Daily Beast:
“They had a competition — Trump and Epstein — of who would be the one. They just understood: what could you get from these people?”
There has never been any evidence suggesting Epstein or Trump had a romantic relationship with Diana.
Maxwell didn’t stop at Diana. She also took aim at Sarah Ferguson, claiming the Duchess of York pursued Epstein after meeting him through Prince Andrew.
“I thought Sarah was trying to put the moves on Jeffrey,” Maxwell said bluntly. “And honestly, I found the whole thing annoying. I was p—-d off.”
Maxwell alleged that Epstein met Prince Andrew in Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard and that Ferguson may have facilitated their introduction.
“That had nothing to do with me,” she insisted. “I wasn’t in touch with Andrew. I wasn’t talking to him.”
Despite distancing herself from the initial meeting, Maxwell fiercely defended Prince Andrew against long-standing accusations that he had sex with Virginia Giuffre when she was underage.
“The idea of him doing anything of that nature in my house, which is the size of this room, is so mind-blowingly inconceivable to me,” Maxwell declared.
She even doubled down on her long-standing claim that the infamous photo showing Andrew with Giuffre was fake:
“I believe the whole thing was manufactured.”
These revelations reignite scrutiny over Epstein’s deep ties to the British establishment. Epstein was known to have cultivated connections with wealthy and influential figures around the world, but his alleged brush with Princess Diana — and Maxwell’s claims about Sarah Ferguson’s advances — push the narrative into uncharted territory.
With Maxwell currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking, her credibility remains under question. But her testimony hints at a deeper, murkier relationship between Epstein and Britain’s royal circle than previously understood.

She’s just having a little fun with the public’s attention. While there will most likely be some truth in some of her statements, whatever she says has to be verified 6 ways to Sunday for confirmation before we buy into any of it. Right now, she could swear that the moon is made up of cornbread and today’s media would run it as fact.
