Barstool’s Dave Portnoy Slams Kamala Harris

In a fiery six-minute social media rant, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy didn’t hold back in criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her “the worst presidential candidate in American history.”

“I’m done with the gaslighting,” Portnoy declared, slamming attempts by the media and the left to frame Harris as a strong candidate. He outlined a string of national and international issues, pointing to the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, a chaotic Middle East, rampant inflation, and the erosion of law and order at home. “Law and order doesn’t even seem to matter anymore… the border, immigration—everything’s a mess,” Portnoy added.

Portnoy, known for his candid and unapologetic takes, has built a media empire with Barstool Sports, a company he sold for $551 million in 2023 before buying it back for just $1 later that year. He’s now worth an estimated $150 million.

In his rant, Portnoy addressed his frustration with the left’s portrayal of Harris, accusing them of inflating her credentials. “They act like she’s some groundbreaking candidate, but she’s the worst candidate ever.”

Though Portnoy has been a vocal critic of both parties at times, he expressed support for Donald Trump in the upcoming 2024 election after his initial endorsement of former Republican candidate Nikki Haley. He made it clear that for many voters, the election boils down to two choices: supporting Trump or voting for Harris purely out of hatred for the former president. “People are voting against Trump out of spite. You could run a potato or a head of lettuce, and they’d vote for it just to keep him out of office,” Portnoy quipped.

Portnoy also took aim at Harris’ messaging on the campaign trail, calling her out for portraying herself as a candidate for change while serving as the current Vice President. “It’s absurd,” Portnoy said. “You’ve been in office for four years, and now you want to ‘turn the page’? How does that make any sense?”

The business mogul wasn’t impressed with Harris’ media appearances either, noting her softball interviews on shows like “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “The View.” Portnoy pointed out how she’s consistently avoided giving direct answers, particularly when asked how her administration would differ from Biden’s. “She can’t answer the most basic questions. Kamala Harris just can’t put coherent thoughts together,” he argued.

Portnoy’s rant resonates with many Americans frustrated with the current administration and skeptical of Harris’ ability to lead the nation. As the 2024 election approaches, Portnoy’s criticism echoes the concerns of voters wary of another four years under Democratic leadership.
