Washington, D.C. – Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard has accused the Biden administration of knowingly allowing explicit, inappropriate discussions to take place in internal messaging boards at key national security agencies for years, despite repeated warnings from whistleblowers.
In an exclusive interview following President Donald Trump’s first Cabinet meeting, Gabbard told reporters that these chatrooms, which she claims were created under diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies, fostered “sexually explicit, highly unprofessional discussions.”
“I’ve had whistleblowers within the NSA come forward over the past few days,” Gabbard said. “They reported this conduct through the official channels during the Biden administration, and they were essentially told to stand down.”
A Systemic Problem Under Biden
According to Gabbard, these chatrooms remained active for nearly two years under the previous administration. She asserts that they were not only ignored by top officials but were actually protected under DEI initiatives.
“The Biden administration’s obsession with DEI allowed this to continue unchecked,” Gabbard stated. “They prioritized identity politics over professionalism and national security.”
When reached for comment, representatives for Biden and former DNI Avril Haines did not respond.
Trump Moves Quickly to Shut It Down
Gabbard confirmed that these chatrooms were shut down immediately following President Trump’s executive order dismantling DEI policies across the federal government.
“President Trump acted decisively,” she said. “Within hours of signing the order, agencies began terminating these activities and those responsible.”
The DNI reported that over 100 individuals involved in the chats have been removed from their positions, and their security clearances have been revoked.
“These people violated the trust placed in them,” Gabbard emphasized. “They were given access to sensitive intelligence, and instead, they engaged in completely inappropriate discussions that had no place in these agencies.”
Investigations Underway
The National Security Agency (NSA) is now conducting a full investigation into allegations that these messaging boards, particularly those created for LGBTQ+ employees under DEI programs, were misused.
“There were conversations about sexual fetishes, artificial genitalia, and other inappropriate content,” Gabbard revealed. “The reality is, this wasn’t just casual office chat—it was something much worse, and it was happening in a place meant to protect our national security.”
Millions in Taxpayer Savings
Beyond addressing misconduct, Gabbard highlighted how eliminating DEI initiatives has already saved taxpayers millions.
“Just by dismantling the DEI center established under Biden, we’ve saved nearly $20 million,” she said. “On top of that, we cut an additional $3 to 4 million by canceling wasteful DEI conferences that employees were attending on taxpayer dollars.”
Inside Trump’s First Cabinet Meeting
Gabbard attended President Trump’s first Cabinet meeting alongside other key officials, including billionaire and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) advisor Elon Musk. She described the meeting as high-energy and results-driven.
“There’s a real sense of urgency,” she said. “Trump, Musk, and the rest of us are committed to fixing the mess left behind and ensuring that government agencies focus on their real mission—protecting Americans.”
As the Biden administration remains silent on the accusations, the Trump White House has made it clear that under this new leadership, there will be zero tolerance for misconduct in national security agencies.
