Chaos as Screaming Protesters Hijack RFK Jr.’s Senate Testimony (Video)

A Senate hearing meant to showcase the Trump administration’s health reform efforts turned into a political circus on Wednesday when protesters stormed the chamber, targeting Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. with chants of “RFK kills people with hate!”

The disruption came just minutes into the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) session, where Kennedy was outlining his department’s 2026 budget priorities in alignment with President Trump’s “Make America Healthy Again” agenda.

As Kennedy began detailing cost-cutting plans and reforms to Medicare and Medicaid, chaos erupted. Protesters stood and shouted repeatedly, “RFK kills people with hate!”—a clearly coordinated ambush. Capitol Police immediately moved in to restore order, dragging out the unruly activists as the gallery descended into shouts and confusion.

Committee Chairman Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) paused the hearing and issued a stern rebuke: “Disruptions will not be tolerated. Capitol Police, please remove the individuals.” Once calm returned, Cassidy quipped, “That was a made-for-C-SPAN moment.”

An Anti-RFK Campaign—or Political Theater?

The protest seemed less about public health policy and more like a calculated political stunt. One of those arrested was none other than Ben Cohen, co-founder of Ben & Jerry’s and a longtime left-wing agitator. According to Capitol Police, Cohen was charged with obstruction. Several others face charges of resisting arrest and assaulting officers—serious offenses that point to premeditation, not protest.

Conservatives slammed the outburst as another example of radical left activists trying to silence opposing voices. “They don’t want debate. They want chaos,” remarked Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), who attended the hearing. “RFK Jr. may not be everyone’s favorite, but he’s trying to fix real problems. Screaming about hate doesn’t solve anything.”

RFK Jr. Remains Focused on Trump’s Health Agenda

Despite the interruption, Kennedy delivered a forceful message: “We are committed to making America healthy again. That means going after chronic illness, reforming our massive federal health programs, and saving taxpayers billions by streamlining bloated systems.”

He continued, “The left may be loud, but they’re not leading. We are.”

The fiscal 2026 HHS budget emphasizes chronic disease prevention, reduced bureaucracy, and a renewed focus on personal health responsibility—hallmarks of President Trump’s post-COVID health strategy.

Protesters Demand Headlines, But Americans Demand Results

The protesters may have grabbed headlines for a day, but critics say their antics only highlighted the contrast between radical theatrics and a Republican-led effort to rebuild trust in federal health policy.

“The American people are tired of shrieking mobs and celebrity activists,” said Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN). “They want leaders who roll up their sleeves, not throw tantrums in taxpayer-funded hearings.”

As Kennedy’s tenure continues, one thing is clear: Trump’s cabinet isn’t backing down. And neither are the protests. But in a post-pandemic world where health, spending, and leadership matter more than slogans, Americans may be making their own judgment—one far removed from the noise of the chamber.

  1. This follows, what I call, the left’s motto: We (they) are for diversity as long as everyone is just like them and for freedom of speech as long as everyone says what they want them to say. That’s why they yell, scream and protest because they can’t believe anyone would dare to be different from themselves.

  2. How many of the protestors were unemployed and were paid by the Dems? This was like when the unemployed voters were paid to vote for Joe Biden to win over Trump? The election was bought and paid for by the LEFT. Only people who get paid to do things like this will do it. Where is the security? Washington DC is a circus because of the hate from the Dems. What is next from the left? Time limits will help stop this. If you run for office and get elected to be in Congress…then you can only serve one term in office. Make this a law. Get rid of the permanent residents. This is why the US has a national debt of $38 Trillion.
