Vice President JD Vance was confronted and heckled over the weekend during a family trip to Disneyland, as left-wing protesters tried to turn a family outing into a political circus.

While walking through the Anaheim theme park with his young child, Vance was unexpectedly ambushed by Jane Fleming Kleeb — a Democratic National Committee vice chair and Nebraska Democratic Party chair — who repeatedly shouted political slogans at the vice president. “We support immigrants, we support America!” she yelled, following Vance through the park while filming herself. Vance did not respond and remained focused on his child.

The scene quickly drew attention on social media, especially after Kleeb posted the video with a caption mocking Vance and falsely accusing him of spreading hate. “I asked the obvious question, ‘I thought you hate California?'” Kleeb wrote on X.

The disruption came as hundreds of protesters rallied outside the park gates, claiming outrage over recent ICE operations across California. Sources told The Independent that Vance’s presence prompted additional security inside the park, leading to ride shutdowns and extended wait times for families — an inconvenience that many guests blamed on the protesters themselves.

Vance’s Stance on Immigration

The confrontation came just days after ICE conducted a major enforcement operation in Ventura County, which resulted in the detention of nearly 200 illegal immigrants, including multiple repeat offenders. One individual reportedly died after resisting arrest, prompting a wave of partisan backlash from Democrat leaders.

Governor Gavin Newsom seized the moment to score political points, posting on X: “Hope you enjoy your family time, @JDVance. The families you’re tearing apart certainly won’t.”

But Vance has never been shy about his position. “We’re not going to let the Left use emotional blackmail to undermine border security,” he posted back in April. “They don’t want us to deport anyone — they want open borders and permanent chaos.”

Targeting Disney’s Politics

The heckling also underscored Vance’s long-running feud with Disney. As early as 2022, the then-senator labeled Disney a “woke corporation” that had “declared war on America’s children.” He later supported policies aimed at ending government perks for companies pushing political agendas.

“Americans are sick of having their values mocked by billion-dollar corporations pretending to be moral authorities,” Vance said last year. “If Disney wants to get political, they should expect pushback.”

Saturday’s incident wasn’t the first time Vance was targeted in California. On July 6, protesters booed him outside a sushi restaurant in San Diego while he and Second Lady Usha Vance were dining. Ironically, the criticism came as Vance was also overseeing emergency relief efforts for flood victims in Texas.

While Democrats continue to use intimidation tactics and grandstanding, the Trump administration remains focused on restoring border security and national integrity.
