‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Actor Joins Anti-Israel Demonstrators During Protest

Chaos erupted in Manhattan Friday afternoon as a mob of anti-Israel demonstrators stormed the New York City offices of Senate Democrats Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand — demanding the U.S. cut support to Israel and “stop starving Gaza.” The unruly crowd chanted pro-Palestinian slogans and displayed inflammatory signs as NYPD officers moved in to make arrests.

The demonstration — labeled “unscheduled” by the NYPD — unfolded inside 780 Third Avenue, the midtown high-rise that houses both senators’ offices. Protesters, many wearing black and yellow, waved signs accusing the senators of complicity in genocide and shouted “Free, free Palestine” as they disrupted business in the lobby. Among the agitators: actor-turned-activist Sara Ramirez, best known for roles in Grey’s Anatomy and And Just Like That.

Police detained several protesters, but the department has not released an official arrest count. Video footage shows demonstrators being escorted out by officers and loaded onto police buses.

Senator Schumer — who has long faced scrutiny from both pro-Israel and anti-Israel factions — recently issued a statement calling for a ceasefire and highlighting the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Yet Friday’s protest revealed just how little goodwill the Senate’s top Democrat has left with the far-left flank of his party.

“The situation in Gaza is unacceptable,” Schumer wrote earlier this week. “The suffering cannot be ignored.” Still, he stopped short of blaming Hamas, and instead pushed for the Trump administration to work with “longstanding humanitarian partners” to ramp up aid — a proposal some critics say risks handing more leverage to Hamas.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump is moving forward with a bold, hands-on strategy to ensure aid reaches actual civilians — not terrorists.

Speaking to Axios on Friday, President Trump said his administration is finalizing a plan to deliver food to Gaza through U.S.-led channels — completely bypassing Hamas. “We’re not going to let people starve,” Trump said. “But we’re also not going to let a dime go to terrorists. That’s the fastest way to end this war — starve Hamas, not the people.”

Trump praised his special envoy, real estate executive Steve Witkoff, for his work on the ground. “Witkoff is doing great work,” Trump said. “He’s working directly with people who care — and who don’t play politics with food.”

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee and Envoy Steve Witkoff visited Gaza this week to oversee aid delivery by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation — a U.S.- and Israeli-backed organization launched under Trump.

Huckabee posted on X (formerly Twitter):

“Went into Gaza today and saw the incredible work being done. Over 100 MILLION meals served in 2 months — and Hamas can’t touch it.”

In another post, Huckabee exposed Hamas’ grip on Gaza’s suffering economy:

“We saw a bag of sugar being sold for $200 on the black market. That’s what happens when Hamas steals aid and sells it.”

Witkoff added that the five-hour fact-finding mission was meant to “level set the facts on the ground” and provide Trump with the data needed to bypass corrupt intermediaries. “We’re crafting a real plan, not political theater,” he said.

Friday’s arrests cap a growing pattern of lawlessness among left-wing protesters targeting lawmakers — even those from their own party. For many Americans, it’s another sign that the Democrat Party is struggling to rein in its most extreme voices.

One NYPD source told Fox News Digital, “We’re seeing more coordinated efforts by radical groups to shut down government offices. Today it was Third Avenue — tomorrow, who knows?”

Schumer and Gillibrand’s offices declined to comment.

With President Trump focused on results and bypassing bureaucracy, many Republican voters are rallying behind his no-nonsense approach.

As one New Yorker outside the building told us: “These protesters scream about genocide, but they’re backing Hamas. Thank God President Trump is in charge. Someone’s finally doing something right.”

  1. Who cares? It’s just another not-so-famous actor out to grab a little possible media coverage. It’s just done to let people know that the individual still exists.

  2. These idiots need to shit up and go home. Israel has the absolute right to anahilate Hamas, Hezboullah, and all of thevither terrorist groups that have been attempting commit genocide against them for decades.
