Christian Singer Loses 30,000 Followers After Emotional Tribute to Charlie Kirk

“I don’t want your streams if you don’t follow Jesus,” says singer in powerful viral message

Christian musician Forrest Frank is standing firm in his faith—and it’s costing him tens of thousands of followers after he spoke out about the brutal assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk.

But if you think he’s backing down, think again.

The viral moment began just days after Kirk was gunned down at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University on September 10. Frank, visibly emotional, posted a powerful video on Instagram, sharing an old clip of Kirk praising him for boldly creating Christian music.

Frank then broke down in tears, telling fans:

“I couldn’t just keep posting music like nothing happened. Something changed. There’s a heaviness now.”

In a follow-up post on September 14, the singer revealed that more than 30,000 people had unfollowed him since the video went live.

His response?

“Good. I don’t want you to follow me. If you don’t follow Jesus, I don’t want your streams, I don’t want you at my shows.”

Frank’s bold proclamation comes at a time when Christian conservatives are under fire, both figuratively—and literally.

“There’s been a shift,” Frank said. “I can feel it. The spiritual battle is real. I’ve got nothing left to say but this: Jesus Christ is Lord, and He is still on the throne.”

He continued:

“I’ve let my platform become a lukewarm highlight reel. I repent for that. From here on, I’m using all my energy to preach the only message that matters: Christ crucified, risen, and coming back.”

The caption on his video echoed the sentiment:

“I don’t care if you follow me. I care if you follow Jesus.”

Despite the mass exodus of secular fans, Frank’s post drew thousands of comments from believers, conservatives, and fellow Christians praising his courage.

“GO FORREST GO!!!!!! THIS MADE ME SMILE,” one user wrote.

Another added: “Wrong is wrong and you’ve got to stand for what’s right even when they hate you for it. If you’re getting hate, you’re doing something right.”

Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA and a fierce advocate for conservative values, was assassinated while speaking to young Americans about faith, freedom, and the Constitution.

He had spent the final day of his life sharing messages about biblical justice and America’s founding ideals.

The suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, is in custody. He is facing charges of aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, and obstruction of justice. A Utah judge ordered him held without bail. Formal charges are expected Tuesday.

In a powerful tribute Sunday night, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) called Kirk’s murder a wake-up call.

“Charlie Kirk was one of a kind. A patriot. A believer. A fighter. This wasn’t just a tragedy—it was an attack on truth.”

As President Trump continues to speak out against rising violence and censorship targeting Christians and conservatives, the Forrest Frank moment highlights a broader divide in American culture.

  1. As long as you cling with Jesus Christ, you have everything even if no human being agrees with you.Sent from my iPhone

  2. I think maybe a better response instead of “I don’t need you” would have been “I want you to stay, but l’m going to be more constant in my praise of Jesus. And I think you need to hear that.” “How can they believe if they do not hear?”

  3. Jesus commanded believers to love their enemies and do good to those who hate them. The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) instructs believers to “go therefore and make disciples of all nations,” implying engagement with nonbelievers.
Christians are to let Christ’s love shine through their actions and words, serving as a positive influence.
The most important commands Jesus gave are summarized by his “Great Commandment”: to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind” and to “love your neighbor as yourself”. Jesus taught that all of the law and the prophets are based on these two principles of love.
I believe this is why so many nonbelievers never get the message, because it is not told in the right context.
Let everyone know exactly where God stands with His creation. “US”. He loves all of “US” Gay, Lesbian, etc., Free Choice, Free will is what was given and they need to understand that God will only be with them when they follow the rules. They are left on their own to make their paths according to their will and if they do so they are left to their demise….but, He loves us all and expects that once a person “seeks Him” and wants a relationship with Him only then will their lives be blessed. We are told not to judge, it is not our place to tell people what the Bible says and tell them they are messed up…because it is not true! We, all of us are sinners in the eyes of God. If we decide to judge people or even take revenge…watch out. Revenge is to be taken only by God. If you seek revenge. When a believer seeks personal revenge instead of leaving it to God, they harm their relationship with God and incur significant negative consequences. The Bible teaches that believers should trust in God’s perfect justice rather than pursuing their own imperfect and often destructive retribution.
