Letitia James’ Old Tweet Blows Up in Her Face After Shocking Indictment

New York Attorney General Letitia James is learning the hard way what it feels like when your own words come back to haunt you.

The same Democrat prosecutor who spent years trying to take down President Donald Trump now finds herself on the other end of the justice system — indicted by a federal grand jury on mortgage fraud and false statement charges.

And conservatives are having a field day.

James built her career and her fame on one mission: destroying Donald Trump.

She sued him, mocked him, and bragged online that “no one is above the law.”

Now, under Trump’s second term as president, the tables have turned.

“Poetic justice,” a senior Trump adviser told American Ledger. “She weaponized her office to destroy Trump. Now she’s being crushed by her own hypocrisy.”

According to prosecutors, James lied on a mortgage application — claiming an income property was her “second home” to get better loan terms.

“If true, she’s guilty of the very thing she accused Trump of — fraud,” said Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY). “It’s unbelievable.”

James’ 2024 Valentine’s Day tweet may go down as one of the most regrettable posts in political history.

“Roses are red. Violets are blue. No one is above the law. Even when you think the rules don’t apply to you,” she wrote gleefully after pushing Trump out of business in New York.

That post resurfaced Thursday and exploded across X.

“This aged perfectly,” joked commentator Benny Johnson.

“Roses are red. Violets are blue. If you commit mortgage fraud, a grand jury will indict you!” mocked GOP activist Chrissy Casilio.

Even weather forecaster Chris Martz chimed in: “Life comes at you fast.”

OutKick founder Clay Travis kept it simple: “No one is above the law.”

The indictment, announced by U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan, accuses James of making false statements to a bank and defrauding lenders.

She could face up to 30 years in prison per count, and fines topping $1 million each.

“These are serious crimes,” Halligan said. “No one — not even an attorney general — is above the law.”

That quote stung almost as much as her own words.

James quickly fired back, blaming Trump’s Justice Department for “political retribution.”

“This is nothing but a desperate attempt to silence those who stood up to Donald Trump,” she said in a fiery statement. “They will stop at nothing to punish me.”

Critics weren’t buying it.

“Letitia James is the definition of karma,” said conservative analyst Jenna Ellis. “She turned the law into a political weapon — now it’s turned on her.”

For years, James strutted across TV cameras, declaring herself the fearless enforcer of justice. She once told reporters, “I fear no man, no president, and no billionaire.”

Now she may be fearing something else — prison time.

Her downfall marks a dramatic twist in America’s legal and political drama: the woman who claimed to bring Trump to justice now faces justice herself.
