But despite her big-money move, Biden didn’t get the role.

Instead, the coveted walk-on part for the show’s upcoming second season sparked a bidding war, ultimately selling twice for a staggering $125,000 each — leaving the former First Lady on the sidelines.

Still, Biden didn’t seem too bothered.

“Guess I won’t be heading to the cottage after all — but it was worth a shot!” she wrote on X, shrugging off the loss while highlighting the night’s charitable mission.

The viral moment quickly took off online, racking up hundreds of thousands of views and sparking a wave of reactions — from fans calling her an “icon” to others joking that a petition should be launched to get her on the show anyway.

Creators Jacob Tierney and Brendan Brady were even honored at the event for the show’s impact, with author Rachel Reid — whose novels inspired the series — helping present the award.
