Rudy Giuliani Had ‘Spiritual Experience’ While in Coma

Rudy Giuliani is opening up about a chilling spiritual experience he says happened while he was fighting for his life in a Florida hospital.

The former New York City mayor, 81, revealed Wednesday that he slipped into what friends later described as a brief coma after being hospitalized with a serious case of viral pneumonia earlier this month — and during that frightening ordeal, he says he experienced something he’ll never forget.

Speaking during his first episode back on “America’s Mayor Live!” since the health scare, Giuliani told viewers he had what he called a “very, very significant spiritual experience” while drifting in and out of consciousness.

“I would equate it to a dream of my being on line headed for… I can’t say headed for heaven, headed for a trial by St. Peter,” Giuliani explained.

But according to the former Trump attorney, it wasn’t just any “Peter” waiting for him.

Giuliani claimed his late lifelong friend and former top aide, Peter J. Powers, appeared to him during the surreal experience and delivered what he described as an emotional “intervention.”

“There was a very significant intervention by my Peter,” Giuliani said. “Peter J. Powers, my friend of my lifetime.”

The emotional moment clearly shook Giuliani, who said he immediately began telling people about the experience as soon as he woke up. He even had his son, Andrew Giuliani, record parts of his recollection while he was still recovering in his hospital bed.

“I don’t want to embellish it, and I don’t want to deny what was there,” Giuliani told viewers, hinting that he plans to reveal even more details later.

Powers wasn’t just a friend to Giuliani — he was one of the most important figures in his political career. The two met in high school and stayed close for decades. Powers later became Giuliani’s campaign manager and first deputy mayor before dying in 2016 at age 72 following complications from lung cancer.

Giuliani’s shocking health crisis began May 3 when he was rushed to the hospital in critical condition with viral pneumonia. According to reports, the illness may have been worsened by lingering respiratory damage tied to health problems he developed after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

At one point, friends confirmed Giuliani had fallen into a coma, sparking serious concern about his condition.

Now, the former mayor says he’s on the mend and feeling dramatically better.

“It is very nice to be back,” Giuliani said during a separate appearance on “The Rudy Giuliani Show” on Lindell TV. “I’m in the middle of making a very, very full and complete recovery.”

He added that he had already resumed physical activity, including climbing stairs and exercising.

“I feel 100 percent, but I’m probably not,” he joked.

Giuliani also praised President Donald Trump for checking in on him during the frightening ordeal, calling the president “terrific” and “a godsend to this country.”

According to Giuliani’s spokesperson Ted Goodman, Trump’s team stayed in constant contact with the family throughout the hospitalization.

“He was just terrific,” Giuliani said of the president.
