A kayaker had a lucky escape and lived to tell the tale after being swallowed whole by a humpback whale — and it was all caught on camera!
The footage is absolutely jaw-dropping. Adrian Simancas was kayaking in the choppy waters of the Strait of Magellan off Chilean Patagonia over the weekend when, out of nowhere, a massive humpback whale came up and gulped him down like a snack.

It was undoubtedly a terrifying experience. Adrian only spent a brief moment inside the whale’s mouth before being spit back out into the open ocean.
Adrian later shared that at first, he thought he was done for, assuming he was attacked by an orca. But then he realized it was a humpback whale, probably just curious or perhaps trying to communicate.
Even after being spat out, Adrian couldn’t shake his panic, especially fearing his dad might end up in the same situation.
