Former Navy SEAL and Real Life Hero Runs for Senate in Alabama

Alabama’s 2026 Senate race just got a new warrior—and he’s not pulling any punches.

Jared Hudson, a former Navy SEAL and Alabama lawman, is launching a bid for U.S. Senate on a mission that fuses combat-tested grit with grassroots conviction. Known across the state for his nonprofit’s takedown of child sex traffickers, Hudson now says he’s ready to fight corruption in Washington just as fiercely.

“I didn’t spend years defending this country just to watch it rot from the inside out,” Hudson told a conservative news outlet on Monday. “It’s time we bring courage and Christian values back to the Capitol.”

The SEAL Behind the Sting

Hudson is no ordinary candidate. The father of three founded Covenant Rescue Group with his wife after witnessing firsthand the growing scourge of human trafficking. The group trains police departments nationwide in how to identify and arrest child predators.

“Our mission is simple: stop evil,” Hudson explained. “We go after the worst of the worst—people trying to buy or sell children. I’ve seen it up close, and we’ve taken down operations in places you’d never expect.”

Hudson still serves part-time with the Blount County Sheriff’s Office and says the fight against trafficking is personal.

“My faith demands action. I’m not here to manage decline—I’m here to push back.”

Senate Seat Up for Grabs

Hudson’s campaign launched just days after Sen. Tommy Tuberville revealed he’s ditching D.C. to run for governor. That opened the door in a deep-red state where faith, law enforcement, and national pride carry weight.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Hudson made his priorities clear:
“I’m running to secure the border, crush the woke agenda, and defend our Christian values.”

Where He Stands: Policy Points with Punch

On Taxes: Hudson said he would vote to preserve the Trump-era tax cuts and slammed “any plan that hikes taxes on hardworking families.”

On Ukraine and Israel: He voiced strong support for Israel, calling it a “trusted ally.” As for Ukraine, he was more cautious. “I’ve been to war. I’ve lost brothers. I don’t believe in endless conflict. But if supporting allies boosts our national security, I’m for it—with accountability.”

On NATO: Hudson backs the alliance in principle but says the U.S. has been carrying the load for too long. “We’re not the world’s ATM. Our allies need to pay their fair share.”

On the Size of Government: He’s openly in favor of shrinking federal power. “We need to cut the fat and put people back in charge of their own lives,” he said. “The government works for us—not the other way around.”

Backed by Fellow Warriors

Rep. Eli Crane, a fellow SEAL and member of the House Freedom Caucus, threw his support behind Hudson immediately.
“I served with Jared at Team 3. He’s the real deal,” Crane posted on X. “A man of faith, a patriot, and exactly who we need in the Senate.”

The Road Ahead

Hudson will face stiff competition in the 2026 GOP primary. Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall has already entered the race, setting the stage for a battle between establishment conservatives and outsider reformers.

But Hudson says he’s unfazed.

“I’ve faced terrorists. I’ve stared down traffickers. I’m not scared of D.C. bureaucrats.”

Final Word

In a time when many candidates talk tough but play it safe, Jared Hudson is stepping into the fire with a clear mission: Faith, freedom, and fighting evil—no matter where it hides.

“We’re not just electing a senator,” he said. “We’re choosing whether Alabama leads or follows. I didn’t survive combat to sit quietly. Let’s get to work.”
