Trump’s Granddaughter Kai Gets Restraining Order Against Alleged Stalker

Donald Trump’s granddaughter Kai Trump has been granted a restraining order against an alleged stalker who she says was trying to get close to her as she prepares for college.

The 19-year-old daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump filed for protection in Palm Beach County, Florida, against 26-year-old Gabriel Garza Jr., according to court documents.

A judge first granted Kai a temporary restraining order in April. The order bars Garza from stalking her, cyberstalking her, or committing any criminal act that could put her in danger.

Garza must stay at least 500 feet away from Kai’s home and workplace. He is also banned from attending any events where she is present.

The order now runs until May 2027.

Kai, a rising golf star who recently announced she will attend the University of Miami this fall, told the court Garza was allegedly homeless and living out of a car in the Jupiter and Palm Beach County area.

The case even collided with a major moment in Kai’s life. A hearing was originally set for April 30, but she asked the court to move it because it fell on her last day of high school.

“My last day of high school. I can’t leave until 3:00 pm,” she reportedly wrote in her request.

The hearing was later moved to May 14, and the judge extended the protection order for two years.

Garza was also ordered to surrender any firearms in his possession.

For the Trump family, the scare adds another troubling security concern around Kai. In 2025, a man named Anthony Reyes was detained after allegedly trying to trespass at Mar-a-Lago because he wanted to “marry Kai.” Authorities said he jumped a fence at the Florida estate before being caught. He later received one year of probation.

Kai has been building her own public profile through golf, social media, and YouTube, but the attention has also brought unwanted dangers.

She recently graduated from The Benjamin School on May 15 and shared a behind-the-scenes look at the big day in a YouTube vlog posted May 21.

Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump were there to support their daughter, along with several siblings and extended family members. Don Jr.’s fiancée, Bettina Anderson, was also seen sitting with Tiffany Trump and Tiffany’s husband, Michael Boulos.

But the video sparked chatter after some famous family members appeared to be missing. Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were not seen in the footage, despite living about 90 minutes away in Indian Creek, Florida.

For now, Kai is celebrating graduation and preparing for college. But with a court order now in place, her family is clearly taking no chances when it comes to her safety.
