Netanyahu’s Son Rushed Out of U.S. After ‘Significant Threat’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s eldest son was reportedly evacuated from the United States after security officials uncovered what they described as a “significant threat” against him.

Yair Netanyahu, 35, was removed from the U.S. under heightened security measures, according to Israel’s Shin Bet security agency, which confirmed the threat but revealed few details about who may have been behind it or where Yair was taken.

The alarming development comes just days after Benjamin Netanyahu publicly claimed that Iran had attempted to assassinate one of his children.

“Iran targeted one of my sons. Iran tried to murder him, tried to murder one of my sons,” Netanyahu said during an Aug. 24 appearance on Israel’s Channel 14.

The Israeli leader did not say whether he was referring to Yair or his younger son, Avner.

Netanyahu made the explosive allegation while arguing that his family requires increased security protection amid Israel’s escalating confrontation with Tehran.

Yair has lived in Miami since 2023 and has remained in the United States through much of Israel’s fighting in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as its growing tensions with Iran.

Israel’s Shin Bet reportedly expanded security protection for Netanyahu’s wife, Sara, and sons Yair and Avner beginning in July.

Yair, who has often acted as an unofficial political defender of his father, has developed a reputation for fiery social media posts and attacks against Netanyahu’s critics.

Last year, he went after podcast giant Joe Rogan, accusing him of giving airtime to antisemitic voices while refusing to interview the Israeli prime minister.

“He gave platform to every single neo Nazi antisemite on this plant,” Yair wrote on X, apparently meaning “planet.”

He claimed Rogan would not interview his father because Netanyahu would be able to challenge what Yair described as years of “antisemitic propaganda.”

Yair also slammed Rogan after the podcaster praised former President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden, even suggesting he had presidential potential.

“Great wake up call for conservatives to remember Joe Rogan is not a conservative,” Yair wrote.

The younger Netanyahu has repeatedly generated controversy online.

Facebook temporarily suspended his account for 24 hours in 2018 after posts targeting Muslims and Palestinians.

In one post, he wrote that countries including Iceland and Japan avoided terrorist attacks because “there are no Muslims.”

Another post declared that there would never be peace with Palestinians, whom he described in inflammatory terms as “monsters in human form.”

The latest security scare now puts Netanyahu’s family directly in the spotlight as Israeli officials continue warning about potential Iranian retaliation and assassination plots.

Shin Bet has not publicly revealed the precise nature of the threat against Yair, leaving unanswered questions about who allegedly targeted him, how advanced the threat may have been and whether the evacuation was connected to Netanyahu’s accusation against Iran.
