“They laughed at us for years—now they’re finally admitting it,” Greene declares, as EPA launches full-scale investigation under President Trump.
In a fiery message posted Thursday, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene reignited a national debate over government weather manipulation, warning Americans that “geoengineering and weather modification” are not only real—they’re potentially deadly.
“Call me crazy, I don’t care,” Greene wrote on X. “But I’ll go ahead and say it. Weather modification and geoengineering is deadly and dangerous. And guess what? They can’t prove it’s not.”
The Georgia Republican’s remarks come just days after President Trump’s EPA chief, Lee Zeldin, announced a sweeping federal inquiry into geoengineering practices, including the controversial phenomenon often dismissed as “chemtrails.” The move follows a wave of grassroots concern after historic flash flooding in Texas triggered fresh scrutiny over cloud seeding and other weather-modification tactics.
“For years, Americans asking fair questions about contrails and geoengineering were mocked and silenced,” Zeldin said in a video statement. “This ends today.”
What Was Once Called a ‘Conspiracy’ Is Now a Federal Priority
Cloud seeding, once considered fringe, has become more mainstream—particularly in drought-stricken areas where governments and private companies have openly admitted to using the technique. It involves dispersing particles like silver iodide into clouds to stimulate rainfall.
But Greene and other critics say the practice is being misused—or worse, abused for darker agendas.
“These aren’t harmless science projects,” Greene said. “This is real experimentation in our skies, with real consequences. And no one is being held accountable.”
Greene is now pushing federal legislation modeled after Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ recent state ban, which outlaws any chemical dispersal aimed at manipulating weather, temperature, or sunlight.
“We didn’t vote for this,” Greene added. “We aren’t lab rats, and we shouldn’t be treated like it. If these elites want to play god with the clouds, they’ll have to answer to the people.”
Trump’s EPA Takes Action
Zeldin has directed the EPA to compile a complete record of any government or private-sector activity tied to atmospheric injections or chemical dispersion. The agency’s announcement explicitly acknowledges the growing number of Americans who believe the long-white streaks left behind by jets—called contrails—may actually be used for covert experiments or control measures.
Though the EPA still claims there’s no verified evidence to support theories involving mind control or population management, the fact that the agency is even acknowledging the conversation has sent a shockwave through Washington.
Privately, some GOP staffers on Capitol Hill say Greene is forcing a discussion that’s been buried too long.
“She might be the only one with the guts to say what millions are thinking,” one senior aide told us. “Americans deserve transparency. Not dismissive lectures from media elites.”
Next Steps? Eyes on Congress
With Trump’s White House reportedly watching the issue closely, Greene’s proposed bill could gain traction fast—especially with increasing public concern over weather anomalies, food shortages, and technocratic control.
“This is not a conspiracy theory anymore,” Greene said. “This is about protecting our skies, our sovereignty, and our future.”
Greene’s office says the draft bill will be introduced before the end of July.
